Canlis is a restaurant in Seattle that is one of the cornerstones of the local dining scene. It has been around for almost 70 years and never ceases to impress.
To put in their after dinner complimentary chocolate mints and toothpicks offering, they decided to pay homage to the history of the restaurant by also including limited edition matchbooks with images showing the history of the restaurant.
My matchbook assignment was to honor a relative that served as a cook for Teddy Roosevelt during his time on safari. A wonderful excuse to draw animals and lots of luscious foliage.
